Artist Sonja Benskin Mesher RCA has organized a new exhibition of 'A Book About Death' with the original works from the Emily Harvey Foundation show in New York and a new call for works.
OPENING EVENT
TUESDAY 27 APRIL STARTING 10 AM.
The box of work from New York will be opened, and quietly all the artwork will be installed, whilst the names of the artists will be written in ‘The Book of the Living’
CULTURE COLONY PERFORMANCE.
1 MAY 10 AM – 4 PM
Sonja Benskin Mesher RCA 'The Chair and a Book About Death', a film about the working practice of the artist, an insight into her creative process and her involvement with the international phenomenon of A Book About Death. 34 min.
Rozanne Hawksley 'Offerings', a film looking at the artists exhibition last year at Ruthin Craft Centre and an interview with her in her attic studio giving an insight into her creative process as she prepares new work. 35 min.
'A Life of Death', one of the programmes from the series made for ITV 1 Wales about the coffin painter and undertaker Carol Aston. 25 min.
There will be a Q&A session with the film maker Pete Telfer after each film is shown.

The sketch book of the chair has just arrived back from exhibition in USA, and will be on display in the exhibition, ‘A Book about Death’
